History
Inservice Training Institute (ITI) was founded in 1984 by Maureen E. Lauterbach. The company offered nursing continuing education through public seminars and provided onsite medical terminology training primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. In January 1997, Momentum Management Group, Inc. purchased Inservice Training Institute and began expanding the organization's markets and offerings. As part of the planned expansion, the company changed its name to Corexcel. The new name reflected the owner's philosophy that "People are the core of an organization; when their people excel, the organization will excel."
In 1999, Corexcel launched its first website, www.corexcel.com, and shifted from public seminar seminars to online courses. Corexcel became a distributor for Inscape Publishing, formerly Carlson Learning and now Wiley, and an affiliate of Vital Learning Corporation. In 2013 Corexcel partnered with MindEdge Learning to offer online business related certificate programs and courses. Since 2007 Corexcel has been one of Wiley's Diamond Distributors which represent the top 1% in product sales worldwide. In 2000, and most recently in 2011, Corexcel has been recognized as a Marvin S. Gilman Superstar in Business award winner by the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
